On the North Carolina side of the Smoky Mountains and Newfound Gap Road, this area in Cherokee is near the Oconaluftee Visitor Center known for elk. This bull was relaxing for a good half hour. After returning from lunch he was still there. Some cows had just crossed the road and volunteers had the cars stopped for safety. This bull decided to stroll toward the road never crossing it while I was there. However, he kept close tabs of the cows strolling behind him!
